What gets shared by you in a 1:1 session, a circle, a voice note, an email stays between us. Not summarized for a case study. Not turned into a teaching story. Not referenced, even in disguised form, without explicit consent from the person it belongs to.
This is especially true in group settings. The circles I hold work because people feel safe enough to bring what's actually alive. The moment that safety becomes conditional, the circle collapses. Everyone who enters a circle with me agrees to hold what they witness with the same care they'd want for what they share. That agreement is stated at the start of every event. It is non-negotiable.
You share your story, and your story alone in my containers. I am beholden to the same rule, and uphold it rigidly.
The voice memos, the writing, the content I publish: it comes from my own life. The stories I tell are mine. When client experience informs a piece of content, I work from themes and patterns, never from their stories. I hold intentional distance—of time, of specificity, of detail—between what happens in the work and anything I put into the world.
If I ever want to reference something that belongs to your story specifically, I ask first. Explicitly. In writing. And I wait for a yes before I do anything with it.
An example, with consent: I went for a walk with a client, and we utilized the path we were on to explore their journey. Where there was a tangent, we physically outlined it and walked it together. When we began moving forward in their story, we noticed that their journey split into two sides of their emotions, which we outlined. As we followed the physical path, we explored the outer expression of their inner journey. We noticed how even as they may have walked alongside something negative...they were still moving forward. Progress was being made, even if it didn't feel like that in the moment.
The work is moving into organizational space—communities, and settings where confidentiality carries professional and sometimes legal weight. I am working towards the legal infrastructure to match: agreements that protect every engagement, written terms that make explicit what stays in the room and what the consequences of breach are. That language is in development with legal counsel and will be part of every contract before organizational facilitation begins.
Anyone who works alongside me—co-facilitators, assistants, observers—agrees to the same terms. There are no exceptions based on role or proximity to the work.
You are not a case study. You are not content. What you bring to the work is yours, and it stays yours.
